‘Gdańsk - birdview’

No, I didn’t fly over Gdańsk. This picture is taken on the top of the tower of St. Mary’s Church / Bazylika Mariacka, the place to admire the Baltic city from high above everybody and everything.
You will have to hike up more than 400 stairs to reach the top.

Here you have a very good view on the city centre that has been restored completey, a fantastic place with lots of beautiful houses, churches, city gates, the medieval town hall and the harbor crane (Europe's oldest).

The houses you see on this picture are in a part of Gdańsk just outside the Main Town, a part visited less by tourists.

The weather wasn’t too good when I was on the tower but I think still good enough to enjoy the beautiful architecture.
