Photographer's Note

Winter has really come! In my last photo I complained there were no snow in Poland, but the situation changed after few hours I posted it.

People working in theatre (as I do) have usually Monday as day off. I was going through my small town being busy with my affairs. The snow was falling more and more. It was about 1 p.m., many children went out of shool then. When I saw him I reminded - 20 years ago I was in his position. With my schoolmates we were walking all afternoon, snow was falling... We had no purpose to hurry up, just observing slow fall of winter days.

I think I caught him exactly in the moment I wanted. It had to be by chance, these are split of seconds. He was walking forth and back. In a moment I felt he would turn around and face me, so I just gave a moment for my camera to set focus and exposure and... I shotted in the moment he started to turn. My camera delayed as usually and... This is the moment that only eye can remember or... a camera but with a great luck. I love the expression of his face, snow behind and in front of him, car shapes in background...

There is a spot near his lips. I didn't remove it intentionally and I'm even happy the snow flake fell just in that moment. PP: crop a bit from left, autolevels, sharping twice: 12% 95px 0L and 400% 0.5px 5L.
