Photographer's Note

Known as the "Castelo dos Mouros", or Moorish Castle. These beautiful ruins sit high above the town of Sintra, atop a rocky hill. As you may have gathered from it's name these ruins date back to the time of the Moors(about the 8th or 9th century), and were reconstructed in the 19th century. It now costs about 3 or 4 Euros to enter. Sintra is less then an hour train ride from Lisbon.

This picture was taken with my old pentax camera, using Kodak Gold 100 speed film, and scanned with a Nikon coolscan 5000 ED. I wish I would have had a polarizer with me at the time.
