Photographer's Note

This is my first post of Carrasqueira. Situated a few kilometres far from Alcácer do Sal, Carrasqueira is a small but really well known village, thanks to the big network of wooden piers on stilts that has been built in the 50's/60's of the 20th century, to allow fishermen to reach their boats during the high and also during the low tide. This photo has been taken during the high tide. During the low tide, the water hardly reaches the piers.
