High flying, a photo from Brasov, East

Photographer's Note

In the center of the Brasov Council Square lies the Council House, built in 1420. The building used to serve as Brasov's city hall; today it houses Brasov's Historical Museum. The exhibits tell the history of the Saxon guilds, who dominated Brasov during medieval times. On top of the building sits the Trumpeter's Tower which was once a watchtower for approaching barbarians before being incorporated into the building.

Great image, the severe contrast between shadow and light in the tower enhances the 'spooky' atmosphere, as does the way you've captured the birds. It's quite a simple image but full of drama. Well done.

Nice and romantic image, Veronica, I like the sepia tones here, so warm, and the pigeons flying in one direction somehow continue the tower compositionally. Very good to have the tower rising from the frame corner.

Excelente culorile si lumina. Poza asta este plina de atmosfera, gen "Prabusirea casei Usher" sau cam asa ceva. Compozitie originala.
Ceea ce imi place cel mai mult, insa, este aceasta lumina intunecata, daca o fi existand asa ceva, aceasta atmosfera misterioasa.

Your technique results in such wonderful colors and lighting. The POV is outstanding and the silhouettes flying over are a stamp of your creativity. The low light shining against the building makes for a great mood. Dark, yet somehow light.

It was a very good idea to try something different by using a sepia color instead of gray, and I has achieved a good match for the subject. But this picture has many other assets like the strong shadow on this part of the building, the diagonal, and of course the silhouetted birds. Good work - Keep well - Izzet

This is absolutely stunning. I don't know how you managed to achieve this effect, but I love it. The tower is so ideally placed in the frame and your low viewpoint adds much impact. Love the light hitting the tower, and then there are the birds - stopped dead in their flight thanks to you fast shutter speed. Superb work Veronica. Can't wait for you to post some more stuff.
