Sava je 940 km duga reka u jugoistocnoj Evropi. Reka ima medjunarodni znacaj i a njena dolina predstavlja glavnu vezu Balkanskog poluostrva sa prostorom Evrope. Sava nastaje spajanjem reka Save Dolinke i Save Bohinjke kod Radovljice u severozapadnoj Sloveniji. Sava Dolinka izvire na Kranjskoj gori a Sava Bohinjka izvire juzno od Triglava. Povrsina sliva Save je 95.720 km². On obuhvata delove drzava: Slovenije, Hrvatske, Bosne i Hercegovine i Srbije. Sava se uliva u Dunav kod Beograda.

Sava is 940 km long river in south-eastern Europe. The river has a international character and its valley is the main link of the Balkan Peninsula with area of Europe. Sava is created by merging rivers Sava Dolinka and Sava Bohinjka at Radovljica in northwestern Slovenia. Sava Dolinka springs to Kranjska Gora and the Sava River Bohinjka springs south of Triglav. Area Basin is 95,720 km². It includes parts of the country: Slovenia, Croatian, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. Sava flows into the Danube near Belgrade.
