The Ferrera palace is located in the Plaza de España in the town of Avilés in Asturias, in front of the council.

In the mid-seventeenth century, Aviles was in the urban sprawl. At this time, Leon Pedro Menendez, a local nobleman, decided to build his family home in the new square of the town. The book became a splendid palace.

Some years later, after the marriage of Mayor Menéndez, daughter of Peter, with Álvaro Pérez de Navia's house became the residence of Navia Arango, who won the Marquesado Ferrera in 1700.

The early work was extended to connect with what is now the largest public park in the city. Recently, the entire Palacio Ferrera, has been rehabilitated to make it five-star hotels.

In this way, the Hotel NH Palacio Ferrera, located in the heart of the historical avilesino provides a unique attraction for equipping the city and allows recovery of one of the key buildings of architectural heritage.
