Photographer's Note

Tejeda is a little village situated perfectly in the centre of Gran Canaria, at the feet of Roque Nublo, one of the most high peaks of this island, characterized by its spectacular rocky formations. Here, far from zones frequented by mass tourism, you can breathe the real atmosphere of the life in Gran Canaria made not only by tourism and sea but also by agriculture and breeding.
Who visit only the coast of Gran Canaria can't say has been there. Gran Canaria is named "The little Continent" because of the variety of its landscapes which change continually, especially when you go in the inner part rising in altitude. Also villages change and if on the coast you can see only touristic structures (that often spoil the landscape) in the inside you can discover the real architecture of the island characterized by simple buildings in stone with curved roofs.
Tejeda is one of the best places to admire all of this. Is a lovely village and has the particularity of be "white and green" (this door is one of the many green doors). Besides is a perfect place to taste tipical dishes of meat. Even gasrtonomy is part of the trip!
