Photographer’s Note

Taken today in early morning light in Barcelona Airport Terminal one. This is a new terminal with beautiful forms and great, partly natural, light. It is designed by Ricardo Bofill and was inaugurated on 17 June 2009.

Cropped,sharpened and tone mapped.

Re-posted this because the green tone of the original.
I think there was some missing parameter during the batch RAW conversion or batch tone mapping. Corrected it by changing the colour temperature.

Because of the small size of these web images I also cropped the image more and it resulted a square form. I liked the original form better but you could not see enough detail in it which is quite essential in such a detail rich image.

Hello Pentti,
Good shot of my city's new airport.
I like the vision side of the escalator, which reveals the activity of passengers.
And the symmetry of the escalator with his reflection, caused by the sheen of the floor.

Pentti I am starting to like square framed photos more and more all the time. This one here with the reflections from the escalator and the expression from the man on the right makes this an interesting photo.

Hi Pentti,
in my opinion, this is an excellent photo taken in an airport! an excellent indoor shot! and I even like this more or less "monocolour"! I compared these two versions - the final one and the original one, and I must say that I like this one better :-) Better crop.
