Photographer's Note

A thoroughly conventional landscape this time. Bachläger waterfall, otherwise known as the Milibach falls above Grindelwald in Interlaken-Oberhasli.

The image was taken from the Grindelwald to First cablecar, but I can't remember now if I shot through the glass or was able to open a window. If this waterfall were in the UK it would be famous, at least locally; here in Switzerland, dramatic waterfalls like this are ten a penny! Thus it was surprisingly difficult to find refence to it on the internet, although a few hiking trails mention it in passing. If anyone knows anything else about it, please let me know! All I can tell you is that the Milibach stream drains the Bachalpsee lakes (that we were returning from), and tumble over this precipice near the Alpine hamlet of Waldspitz. Look carefully (try the larger version!) to see a couple of chalets each side of the top of the falls, and a few figures silhouetted on the skyline. It gives a sense of scale.
