Photographer's Note

Composition with my preferred pontoon in Préverenges close to Lausanne.

Located at the northern elbow of lake Léman, the bay of Préverenges functions like a stop for the migratory birds newcomer of the lake in spring, incomes of Africa and on the way for their distances districts of summer in the Arctic tundra.
More than 230 species - more common to rarest - including 60 the limicolous ones and laridés, were identified there to date, which does of them one of the high places of Swiss ornithology. The shallow waters exondés in spring close to the mouth of Venoge attract a great number of small waders (limicolous), gulls, seagulls and terns (laridés), tempted to make stopover to rest and nourish themselves before continuing their long voyage several thousands of kilometers
