Photographer's Note
Inside the Cameo cinema in Edinburgh. Screen number 1 (of 3) is decorated with numerous ladies holding up the pillars.
I'm fairly sure that the majority of film goers don't even notice them. The pillar decoration is interesting as well.
Taken in low light, so the photo is a bit noisy, but I feel that suits.

Hello Alastair!
This shot is well-seen -- the lighting is brilliant! May I ask -- is this how it was lit in the cinema or have you done much post-processing? I ask because I am relatively new to PP and am trying to learn when it is useful and when I should leave well enough alone (a very difficult task for me!).
I was interested to see your reference to low light and noise in your Lumix. I shot (and LOVED!) an older Lumix for many years (the Leica superzoom was fabulous and fast -- f/2.8 through its whole range!), but its Achilles Heel was noise in low light situations. As you say here, sometimes it can be used to artistic effect (see my "Digital Bugle" foto?), but it eventually led me to make the move to a newer camera.
Also must say I enjoyed your profile comments. A pleasure to find you and your portfolio!

Hi Alastair
I like your observation. The framing is very nice and low light creates proper atmosphere.
Thank you very much for sharing.
Let us share our world to each other.
