Photographer's Note

I dedicate this upload to Gert because he has recently commented on one of the photos taken in my local park and his remarks inspired me to post this image and write this note.

This image shows the Leg of the Mutton Pond (I love that name!), frozen over in winter. These birds are black headed gulls. Bushy Park is home to many bird species even quite exotic ones. You can also encounter other kinds of wildlife, from large mammals to tiny insects.

You will come across countless opportunities to photograph people too, while they pursue their hobbies or look after their fitness.

It’s a good location at the blue hour and sunrise, equally attractive in spring, summer, autumn and winter, great for landscapes as well as macro and abstract photography.

I know every gnarled hawthorn tree there. It’s been “my” park for the last 7 years.
