Photographer's Note

View from east to west on the Netanya winter-pond, a natural swamp within the town area. Few years ago the Netanya Municipality renovated the area around the pond into a beautiful park.
This wide water-bed is a consequence of rising groundwater on a relatively low place, that surrounded with the typical sandstone ridges of the coastal-plains in Israel. Standing on the swamp-edges, I could hear frogs croaking, but could not see even one. The Eucalyptus trees are home to many birds species, and there is a constant "noise" of squawks.
