Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, a photo from Kinneret, Northern

Photographer's Note

This morning, I read in Haaretz that there was a fire at the Church of the Multiplication and that the police suspect it was a hate crime. We toured that church a little over a year ago. This is a photo I took of the votive candles at that church.

In most traditions, votive candles symbolize the "prayers the worshipper is offering for him or herself, or for other people." I am going to offer these votive candles from Church of the Multiplication to symbolize prayers for that church and for the peace of Jerusalem.

Bu sabah, Haaretz’de Çoğalma Kilisesi’nde bir yangın olduğunu ve polisin bunun bir nefret suçu olduğunu sandığını okudum. Bir yıldan biraz fazla bir zaman önce o kiliseyi gezmiştik. Bu o kilisede çektiğim adak mumlarının bir fotoğrafı.

Shamefull event by a primitive inhabitants of our country, Murat, unfortunately we grow such rutten apples in the box. This is not to go unsolved and with grave punishment for the hoodlums, giving our enemies yet another reason for hate.

Pleasant contrast picture with the white flowers on the water of the lake.
