During the summer of 2015 we took a trip to Nova Scotia to chase some lighthouses.I'll post a few of the 60 sum that we saw. This one at Hampton was a particularly nice one located on the hill above the harbor. It is in the "pepper shaker" style. Most of the lighthouses in Nova Scotia are quite small (compared with the outer banks of the mid-atlantic coast of the US for instance) because the shore line is quite high and there doesn't seem to be as many shoals and sand bars for ships to get stuck on. Many, like this one, mark harbors that are manly used by small boats used for fishing or in local transportation.
