Photographer's Note

While visiting Hamilton, back in March 2003 and in between two basket-ball games at the McMaster University (Canadian Women Basket-ball University Championship) I went shooting some odd pictures in the industrial steel complex located on the banks of Lake Ontario.

This very colourful shot was selected because it shows a small complex of industrial technology. There are a lot of security features (we cannot reach the hearth of the industrial complex without appropriate badges and passes). Second, the white smoke is not a smoke provoked by wood combustion. I guess that it is not steam vapour too. Third, the foreground is ugly (a lot of pole, wire, fence, dirt pollution) which characterize this industrial environment.

Crop was done at top (less sky) and bottom (too much dirt).

(see original photo whitouth croping in workshop)
