Photographer's Note

“A foggy court day” is the name of this photograph. This photograph was taken several years ago in Trinity and it is a reenactment of a primitive justice system over
150 years ago. There were some harsh punishments such as hanging for stealing a loaf of bread.
My father told me that many years ago a judge sentenced a man to six months in jail. That man, still drunk, laughed at the judge saying I can do that standing on my head. The judge promptly replied well then I will give you on additional six more months to get back on your feet.
The vast majority of people led a hard life and humor was a great relief.
This photograph was cropped, Level adjusted, Sharpened in lab color U. S. M. 60,2,1, And saved for the web .
