Casevecchie – Azzano – Spoleto (PG)
Nei pressi di Azzano il vocabolo Casevecchie conserva ancora vecchie torri colombaie e, più avanti, un’isolata torre d’avvistamento ben conservata. La piana che va da Madonna di Lugo ad Azzano è caratterizzata dalla grande concentrazione di torri colombaie, uno dei luoghi a maggior densità esistente in Italia. L’allevamento di colombi, oltre a procurare preziose proteine alimentari, consentiva una grande disponibilità di guano di piccione, un pregiato fertilizzante.

Very pretty little village again.
I am so surprised to see this time the area is so flat! You always capture them on top of a hill and first time I see the foreground being a very flat field.
But the effect is of course beautiful.
Nice addition of the incoming rain and heavy clods around.

Beautiful how the rain appear above the valley, and still you were able to show the houses of this town in fine clarity and light upon.
Horizontal crop works well here.

Hi Silvio,

The low clouds or fog have a special effect on the colors. The mountains are a natural frame of the town. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings. Have a nice day.

Ciao Silvio,

C'est assez rare que tu nous montre un village sur un terrain plat en Italie. Normalement, ils sont juchés sur une colline. La différence est toutefois plaisante.

Great atmospheric photo, A very nice town, we cant see pigeons but we can see low clouds and maybe the coming rain, good that the town was very well illuminated by last sun rays

Beautiful view of this little village. Light is excellent and panoramic framing fits perfectly. Grey rainy background adds some drama to this scene.

Hello Silvio,
I like the wide panorama format of the photo. It shows the small white houses and the layers of the mountains behind them very well. The little bit of snow on the roofs adds a nice wintery details as well, while the sunlight was pleasant and bright compared to the low-hanging clouds.

Hello Silvio, the white painted buildings stand out against the blue-grey background.The hills silhouetted against the sky have irregular lines contrasting with the straight lines of the buildings.
Had the rain been and gone, or was it on its way?
