Photographer's Note

Part of a group of keen historians known as 'The Age of Chivalry' posing for a picture or two.
This was one day from the History Week held in Plympton, near Plymouth.

The group took us back over 600 years to show us how we might have been dressed if we had lived so long ago.We were told about the way of life, and the afternoon included a re-enactment of a tournament.

I had the opportunity of talking to one of the ladies pictured here, (the lady who was seated) and she told me about how she had made all of her costume, which was accurate to the period; she had done a lot of research to ensure that the details were correct. She had also made her husband's outfit, seen here in the green robe.

I did try to add a vignette to hide the blue door, but without any success, most annoying! There was no chance of an alternative viewpoint.

Thanks for looking.
