Photographer's Note

The coast of Aude (Languedoc) is rich of its ponds where live a flora and a fauna still preserved.

The pond of Bages and Sigean is the largest with its 3800 ha. it stretches from La Nautique at the north (the noat club of Narbonne) to Port-la-Nouvelle at the south.

Next to this latter town stand the village of Sigean, well known for its african animal reserve.
The commune has a marina on the pond, Port-Mahon, on the site of a gallo-roman oppidum.

The walk along the pond leads to the place name called "les Cabanes", a fishermen place with some little houses and the fishing boats.

I wanted to reach this place at dusk, for the light on the pond.
