Detroit Renaissance

I could go on posting many more cityscapes from Detroit, including some fascinating reflections, and I probably will later on some day as well, but for now I guess, it’s almost time to get to the next city on our tour. Just not before one last photo from Detroit, taken when we were walking back to our hotel after dinner. The evening light was just too good not to get some more shots of the Renaissance Center.

Like I said before, despite all the trouble the city faced in the past decade, a really positive mood prevailed in Detroit during our stay in the city and it seems that many people are again hoping for and looking forward to a better and once again prosperous future: a true Detroit Renaissance so to see, the city’s tallest building is already fittingly named the Renaissance Center. May Detroit’s car industry flourish once more, but now of course by solely producing environmentally friendly electric cars!
