Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone.

A continuation of my little series showing the face of fall along the southern Maryland waterways. This is another shot from Solomons Island. A mother and son look out in the water to spot gulls drifting along the wind. This day was extremely breezy, some gusts were over 35 mph. As the wind blew the gulls would drift up and over ones head. As the wind died down they would try to settle on the water or land on the pier fluffing their feathers to protect against the biting breeze.
These two came out of a restaurant across the street and began to look out of the protective fence; she held on for just a little more safety.

Frame, shrink, sharpen.
