Fabulous Las Vegas

From the overwhelming nature of Death Valley National Park to the crazy world of Las Vegas, Nevada. A bigger contrast in one day is hardly imaginable, but after our visit to Death Valley, we did arrive in Sin City at the end of the afternoon. Here, we were met with a heavy thunder shower, but after we had checked in at our hotel, the sun had re-appeared. We didn’t go to the famous Las Vegas Strip this evening yet, but visited the Fremont Street Experience instead (stay tuned).

This photo was taken on South Las Vegas Boulevard in the direction of The Strip. Seen here is the Stratosphere Tower, the tallest free-standing observation tower in the United States (350m). Completed in 1995, it is part of the larger hotel and casino complex of the same name, located on Las Vegas Boulevard.
