Photographer's Note
Location: This is the Little Sahara Recreation Area which is located in the Sevier Desert west of Nephi, Utah.
Yesterday's photo was dedicated to both Pink Floyd and Tom Petty, but I decided to let them each have their own tribute, so today's photo is for the Tom Petty song, Learning to Fly, and yesterdays photo is for Pink Floyd's song, Learning to Fly.
"I’m learning to fly around the clouds
But what goes up must come down
I’m learning to fly but I ain’t got wings
Comin’ down is the hardest thing"... Tom Petty.

Great composition with those tyre tracks leading the eye into the picture, and it works well in B&W.
Might work even better with a more rectangular composition - losing the bushes in the foreground.
Good shot.

Great composition, Ryan!
Decisive moment, really.
And very good choice of B&W.
Well done!

Nice work...
Composition is good
Dark clouds and B/W... great effect
ben4321's critique is a matter of choice...but
I like it also more without the bushes in the foreground.
Anyway...I looked at it :-)

Hi.
Excellent scene with a good timing.
The choice of b/w is nice and nice managed.
I have make a WS for a different framing...just a crop, but that's more interesting for me.

Good shot, captured at just the right moment... framing and stormy sky are just perfect. Works well in B&W too. Well done.

The previous one has a very noisy sky, but this one looks more smooth. I like it. In this small web version there is not much detail visible in the bikers, but I guess a poster enlargment looks great :-)
Good B&W conversion, wonder how it looks in colour.

I like the pattern formed by the tyre tracks. You chose well the bw. And... they know how to fly, really...

hi ryan ... great pic and good choice of b&w ... my suggestion should have been a crop from the bottom ... Frederic already achieved it in the workshop image ...
