Photographer's Note

This was taken along the Artist Drive in the beautiful but so hot Death Valley (~42 degrees Celsius...well..when you can find a shadow...which is just impossible...)
Artist Drive name comes from the variation of colors in the rocks (from light blue to light red and light yellow) if an artist would have painted the scene for us in this desolated place. Improbable scene!

Sun Dance
Of course this is humor... The shadow of my "model" made me think of a classic ballerine dancing in the sun as opposed to dancing in the rain with Gene Kelly ;P
There are plenty of other references that came to my mind with this title.
> Obviously the sun dance of North American indians "praying" for rain... which nicely fit with the setting. It was (or still is?) a major religious ceremony with dancing, singing, druming, transe, etc.
> Then, Sundance is an American Film Festival, worlwide known, that takes place in Utah and has revealed some "giants" such as Quentin Tarantino, Coen brothers!

Note: I shall precise, the "model" was not posing for me. That's why I put the pic under "decisive moment" category".
