Thomson Reuters Building

While collecting the info for the photos of the Thomson Reuters Building - 3 Times Square, I came across a message that a billboard displayed at the Thomson Reuters building went up in flames one week ago on Saturday, May 18.
The fire was contained in under an hour. No one was injured and the flames did not spread to any adjacent buildings. Video New York Post

The Thomson Reuters Building was completed by Tishman Construction in 2001 and designed by Fox & Fowle architects in the postmodernist style. The building is the headquarters of namesake media company Thomson Reuters.
The facade is composed of a stone and glass curtain walls with metal panels, which promotes natural daylighting. The building was designed to be energy efficient and does not require heating. The building is also equipped with dual gas/electric cooling systems to allow for operation based on electricity or gas rates
