Photographer's Note

Couta boats were orignally used by fishermen fishing for barracouta. The first boat back to port got the best price so they were designed with that in mind, but also to handle well when trawling.

These days they are primarily used for racing and good examples will fetch astronomical prices (at least it seems that way to me) of between AUD 50,000 and AUD 100,000.

I took this shot just after sunset yesterday from Williamstown jetty (in the company of Santo, skippy007).
