Photographer's Note

just got back from another visit to the other side of the world. Not backpacking this time, but a sentimental journey with my partner and his family. Looking for places and people from 43 years ago, when they left Australia. After a couple of evry succesfull days in Adelaide, we drove towards melbourne via the Great Ocean Road. I understand why people say it's one of the most beautiful highways in the world. The number of breathtaking views is amazing. this was the first view point along the road; called the 'bay of islands'. Too bad you can't hear the sounds of the roaring waves. It's quite understandable the rocks get further and further away from the caostline. the stone is really soft and the waves just seem to eat away the rocks.
