Photographer's Note

Freemantle isn't far from Perth but feels a world apart. It is full of classic old buildings, public, commercial and residential. It was founded as a port.
This photo is of one of the grand old streets full of port related buildings - High St. At the far end is the infamous Round House which amongst other things was a notorious lock for Aboriginals. It is Western Australia's oldest public building dating from 1831.
As a workshop the old main shopping street.
