Photographer’s Note
View from heights of Devonport toward central Auckland. Great Auckland is surrounded by harbours and inlets of all sizes and shapes. Waitemata Harbour is probably most important and for sure most visited and best known. It’s pretty much like a gate to Auckland and to entire New Zealand. In early morning hour City looks quite different but still beautiful.

Hello Dmitri,
A wonderful perspective here of picturesque Auckland City. I have been there twice and enjoyed the lush landscape, interesting architecture and extensive harbour. I like your framing; it is almost like a postcard, especially when you consider the title. Good colours and deep depth. The top of the trees is an effectiv3e capture. What exposure length did you use on this one? The lighting turned out well. Happy NY! Take some photos of fireworks off the Skytower; I had NYE in Auckland in 2004/5.
Matt
