Photographer's Note

Also in front of my room, at the Seven Falls Lodge, was this burnished-buff tanager (Tangara cayana) perched on the branch of a small tree in the late afternoon. It is a male, due to the presence of a black mask that extends through the throat and passes through the middle of the whole belly, which differentiates it from the females.
