Photographer’s Note

Simi, is the most pictoresque island of the Greek Dodekanisos islands. With very charming, elegant houses is a fiest for your eyes... Simi geographically, it is part of the Dodecanese island chain, located about 41 km north-northwest of Rhodes and 425 km from Piraeus, the port of Athens), with 58.1 km² (22 sq mi) of mountainous terrain. Its nearest land neighbors are the Datça and Reşadiye peninsulas of Muğla Province in Turkey. Its interior is dotted with small valleys, and its coastline alternates between rocky cliffs and beaches, and isolated coves.
There has been considerable restoration of many houses in Symi in the past decade including work by Rhodes and Symi-based architects including Haris A. Kalligas and Anastasia Papaioannou, both winners of the Europa Nostra Awards for their work on Symi and elsewhere in Greece.

Great shot of these colorful houses. The angle of the shot works well giving the scene a nice sense of depth. The closeup framing allows us to see the details of the colorful buildings.

Hi Ihsan! You gave beautiful frames from unique architecture of Simi! The colours the oppositions and the detail of facades with possible helium and the lighting together with the shades compose card-postal perfect!

colourful and sporadic view of these hillside homes.
There is a good mixture of newer and older homes.
looks like you also were able to capture some natural light shinning on the hillside as well.
Must have been difficult to compose, well done
