La ville d' Ayutthaya, appelé aussi Ayudhya , située 76 km au nord de Bangkok, peut se vanter de posséder les ruines de nombreux et superbes monuments, vestiges de l'ancienne capitale.

La cité historique d' Ayutthaya, désignée à l'époque sous le nom de Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, fut la capitale des thaïlandais pendant 417 ans et reste aujourd'hui une des principales attractions touristiques de la Thaïlande. Nombreux monuments et vestiges de l'époque peuvent être visités dans cette cité fondée en 1350 par le Roi Uthong lorsque les thaïlandais durent migrer vers le sud sous la pression de leurs voisins du nord.

Pendant la période durant laquelle Ayutthaya était la capitale, 33 rois et plusieurs dynasties se succédèrent jusqu'à ce que la cité scintillante, saccagée par les birmans en 1767, tombe en ruine et soit abandonnée.

This is a great shot of these ruins. You have used the overhanging trees to provide excellent framing for the shot. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has nice sharpness.

In Ayudhaya we have not been since ages, personally I never really liked the place - it's too touristic for our taste. You have made the best from the location in framing the stupas with some branches, to add DOF. Fine color hues and high sharpness too - well done

The ancient temples make an interesting place, telling the story of years long gone!
The view to the site is well framed with good details, and the typical brownish colour of the structures is well reproduced...

Une chouette endroit que j'ai visite il y a 15 ans (deja!), c'est assez ruine par endroits mais on peut imaginer comment ca devait etre a l'epoque, et c'est grand au vu des gens a cote

Avec le cadrage végétatif, es deux sortes d'arbres, superbe cpatage sur cette cité historique, la grosse branche en ombre chinoise à doite, le doux sur la pierre, une merveille.

A good composition of these ruined temples. The overhanging trees make a good frame and create a great sense of depth. Pleasing light and shadow play in the foreground and goo colour saturation.

I probably stood under this same tree while we listened to the guide. You have managed the strong light perfectly and used the trees to make a wonderful frame for the stupas. I remember wondering how long the tilted one on the right would stand! :)

In two month and half hour I take off to Bangkok......
can`t wait to have summer again.
And the next day I want to visit this great area again,this time with digital equipment.
A great shot ,very well composed with these branches comming from the top.
