Photographer's Note

Mount Rundle is really a small mountain range, stretching southeast for some twelve kilometres from the town of Banff to White Man Gap above the town of Canmore. There are seven distinct high points along the way, the third peak southeast of Banff being the highest.

Robert Rundle after whom the mountain was named was a Wesleyan missionary who worked among the natives from 1840 until 1848.
