Photographer's Note

After crossing the whole continent we could now see the Pacific Ocean! But no time for the trivias, we had to check out what San Francisco had to offer.

We stayed on the 33rd floor at the Hilton Hotel, which was...ehhh...cheap. The first thing we wanted to try was the cable cars of course! They brought us up the characteristic hills and down on the other side to the bottom of Lombard Street. This is one of the steepest streets in the world and has five sharp turns. The view from the top is gorgeous and in the background you can see a part of Telegraph Hill and Bay Bridge. You can also barely see parts of Oakland and Berkeley in the background.

We drove down the street the next day - a fun experience!
