Photographer's Note

This might be a classical view. It's taken during the US trip last year from the top of Rockefeller Center in New York. New York is a fabulous city and there's a lot to do for everyone. Here's my top 5 list:

1. Top of the Rock: This is the viewpoint where the photo was taken. I sense that there is a kind of a competition between Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center about having the best view. I'm sure ESB offers a quite complete view, but sure you'd like it IN your picture right? "The Rock" also offers a better view to Central Park. Tripods are not allowed in any of the buildings for some strange reason.

2. Central Park: I recommend for everyone to experience a picnic breakfast in Central Park with the NYC skyline in the background, but there's also a lot more to do here. Taking the guided cycling tours would be a good idea. You choose for how long you want the cyclists to guide you around in the park. For me, this was nice, but I wanted to be active there myself. So around sunset, I went out in the park to run a half-marathon and it was amazing! I love it so much that I've set me a goal of once running New York Marathon there.

3. Times Square: Well, Times Square IS New York City, so it is absolutely a must when you're there. A lot of people, a lot of life and a lot of love (And a lot of commercials and a lot of shops...).

4. Metropolitan Museum of Art: Ok, I can't say to much about this as I didn't get to visit during my three days in the city. But as it's one of the largest museums in the world, I think this is well worth a visit.

5. Ground Zero: Not of the attractions you go to with a happy feeling, but nonetheless an attraction worth visiting. The site is pretty much a huge construction site for now, but contains a lot of history and a memorial park.
