Photographer’s Note
The old warehouses along the river Nidelva is probably the most photographed buildings in Trondheim. As remarkably large wooden houses in bright colors that is not so surprising. The bright and many colors of the wooden houses is allways a refreshing sight to a Swede visiting Norway. But there is a technical difference too, the coastal climate calls for different types of paint to preserve the wood and I think the larger variation of pigments comes in the bargain.
Many Norwegian towns of all sizes have warehouses like this even if Trondheim and Bergen have the most well known. Maybe more well known just because more visitors pass through these two towns.

Very nice reflections. But overall I like the composition very much, something you pay attention in all of your shots. We want to turn the photo over. Interesting.

Hi Ebbe !
That's funny, they have exactly the same colours as the two most beautiful and photographed buildings in central Stockholm !! (that reminds me I should post one of those, one day...)
Beautifull reflexion and composition ! Seems the life saver will be for the first one to open his window :o)

Very nice reflections Ebbe, with appealing colours and a graphic dimension created by all the vertical lines.

it's interesting to see only the reflection of the houses and imagine what the rest is like ... great colors, I really like the little red buoy and the wooden line.

Hi Ebbe. I like this type of photos with colors reflected on a rippled water surface a lot, and you did a fine job spotting this motive and as usual framed it impeccably. The "reality layer" at the upper area of the photo, including the colorful lifesaver, is great. The distorted reflections towards the tops of the houses are cool, too. Very nice one.

It's not only the reflections, Ebbe. The pier's poles at the top of the frame and and the life-saving float adds a fantastic touch to this beautiful compo. But yes, the reflections are great. Beautiful.

Hi Ebbe, very nice and colourful reflection, I like the blue of the water at the bottom very much as well, and the poles, I'm glad you included them.
In thsi reflection the warehouses look so small, as if they are doll houses, I like the white windows.

A beautiful and very colorful reflection, Ebbe, where especially the small ripples up front create a lovely graphic pattern (red, white and blue - how Norwegian). The wooden quay side as a backdrop and the jetty with lifesaver are great additions and bring some 'order' to the image. A wonderful tight crop - as usual. Very well done.
I almost made a remark about 'Falu red color' destroying the variation of colors in Sweden, but remembered that Norway has an equivalent in Røros... ;o)

I love the colors and composition.. Just wondering how the photo will look without the wood and a bit less light. Nice shot.

Good decision to go for the reflections and to keep the stilts. This photo also has an interesting variety of lines and colours.

beautiful image!, i like the composition you chose, showing just the reflection and not the real thing, but leaving the upper part the way it is. Many thanks for the note, it helps to understand better what we see.
