Did you really think I didn't get any monk sweeping shots from Burma?

Okay, I had to wait until my last days and wake up early to spot the old buddy sweeping the grounds of Shwe Yan Pyay temple, out of Nyaungshwe... that was my last chance, I even arranged with Ye to save half an hour on our transfer to Heho airport, just in case...

Spotting a good sweeping scene was a fun challenge we had during the trip : I think Ye was as excited as I was to spot that scene.

Ce que j’aime dans cette image c’est que la lumière jaillit de partout.
Composition verticale efficace qui nous permet un passage sous les voûtes en toute quiétude ;-)
Très belles couleurs ,ce temple est une vraie caverne d’ali Baba

Oui, je suis du même avis que Tom ici.

J’aime bien aussi le mouvement du balai que tu as su retransmettre.

Good shot. The man has got a 'rembrandt' sort of light on him. The worn out walls are fabulous.

This is a great lighing Luko.. I admire your sense of lighting and the composition...

f/4 and 1/20 is the perfect to get enough light as well as the blur .... this is purely an soft image..to look for a long time.

une image très douce avec bcp de sérénité
un beau travail sur les lumières et textures
devait pas être facile avec aussi peu de lumière ... mais tu as réussi à prendre au moins une très belle photo ...
çà valait donc le coup d'avoir des "déchets" pour arriver à ce résultat.
perso j'ai super honte quand je fais une série avec plein de "déchets" ... j'ai l'impression de ne pas respecter les personnes, le lieu ... et en règle générale La Photographie
il m'arrive même de ne plus prendre de photos pendant ... parfois 2-3 jours
bref, www.la-vie-de-nono.com on s'en fou ...

et les balais jajaajja
de deux soit tu étais moine avant, ou alors un balais ;o)
ça n'enleve pas que cette image est tres belle

Je ne comprend pas comment j'ai pu rater celle-ci. ENcore un qui est d'accord avec Tom sur les sources multiples de lumieres/spritualite? Avec en plus ce mouvement tres leger au bout du balai et nous avons une superbe image, un eimage classique de moine. Il y a meme de la visibilite jusqu'au mur du fond. Chapeau!

Hi Luko,

I really like the action in the sweeping. Good use of the light coming in and I really like the rustic building - even with the same colour as the monks dress.

Quelle belle image qui trouve toute sa force dans le jeu de lumières: Simon a tout dit sur ce sujet, en soulignant la forte symbolique du balayage vers l'intérieur. Remarque qu'on pourrait dire qu'il fait aussi sortir la lumière, en guise de nettoyage de fin de journée pour laisser entrer la nuit. Bref, les textures des murs et du sol attirent le regard. Et ensuite on se laisse bercer par tous ces arcs pleins (droits), grands et petits.
