Huacachina oasis Photo

Photographer’s Note

Huacachina oasis is 5 kilometers from Ica and 300 km south oh Lima.It`s an oval surrounded by dunes.
The little lake is connected with an underground-river.There are some hostels and restaurants.It`s a nice place to relax,but not on weekends,when the locals from Ica come to view the sunset from the dunes.Climbing the dunes is verry exhausting ,but the reward is a nice view,I`ll post soon.

Irgendwie eine Szenerie wie von einem anderen Stern. Wenn man die Umgebung sieht, wird einem bewusst, wie "zerbrechlich" diese Idylle ist. Die Wüste erscheint übermächtig. Die Spiegelungen sind unglaublich! Ein tolles Foto!

Hi Leo, an oasis in Peru (!!??), nice to know about it, thx to you. I'd never guess the shot was taken there. Nice mood with the superb reflections of both trees and dunes; good frame vegetation element. When I look carefully I probably see a building on the right, but in any case you hide it cleverly, so you put us on a completely natural setting. Thanks and regards, Daniel

I return on this splendid oasis, one would really not believe myself in Peru but rather in the Sahara.
I find the colours gray in the foreground very soft.
How made the house (if it is a house) to hold on the dune?

Andreas, As I've mentioned already, you've got some fascinating photos in your portfolio. It is hard to pick one (or two) to comment on. This has caught my attention as I was not looking at Peru of country with oasis, but I will from now on. Another great place to go on my list :) Lucie
