Photographer’s Note

Just a simple backstreet in Siena but still something to see:

1) Siena is built on a hilltop, many streets are steep.
2) The ocra collor and the green blinds are typical.
3) The little steel hatch for the gas connection.
4) The scooters still so common in the country that once gave us Vespa and Lambretta.

Nice view of this street, typical of Italia, with scoter and beautifull colours of houses. I like the composition with the horizontal line that show that the street go down.

Hi Ebbe, the backstreets in Siena are the best, if you ask me. The atmosphere is nice and there are less tourists ;-) Except for some Swedish pohotgrapher who is after vehicles, of course ;-))
Nice lines, Ebbe, and there's this very nice triangel in which the scooters are caught. You have such a good eye for composition.

It is a very effective POV, Ebbe. This image looks like taken from an old movie, if only you could have the old-fashioned Vespa there.

I have recently been to Italy and in Siena. Your picture portrays the real Siena. Love the composition and colour. I bet you had nice sunlight there as well to give you this nice effect on the architecture of Siena. Really well done. Thanks for sharing.
