Photographer’s Note
The "Three Sisters" is the name given to the three monoliths standing in the foreground. This is "Katoomba" in the "Blue Mountains", North West of Sydney. A very popular tourist destination.
I was up here last weekend, and Saturday had perfect weather. This was just before sunset, so the sun lit the Sisters brilliantly.
The next morning I thought the sunrise would be just as spectacular, but at 6am the fog was "pea-soup" thick, and I could bearly see the end of my lens ;)
A beautiful location and highly recommended, but only in good weather.

Beautiful landscape Chris! I love that it's partly enlighted by the sun and the rest is in shadow. Great shot!

Fantastic view Chris. The mix of colours are very beautifull here. Blue and yellow. The enhance eachother. The compositin is also vry fine with this mountain in the foreground and the layer mountain in the background.

Great shot with superb composition, lighting & depth. I'd just add a bit of magenta & red. (it has a faint green / cyan cast).

Grand. Totally grand. You've caught the three sisters in the most beautiful light imaginable. Golden rays on them while the forest below is dark. Visited the site twenty odd years ago. Jogs a lot of memories of Sydney. Congratulations!

Beautiful vista, with the Sisters glowing in the setting sun.
Wonderful depth to this image, enhanced by the presence of the mist in the valley.

Beautiful landscape, captured in a great time!
I also went there last time, but it was very cloudy and the photo isn't so nice as yours. I also like to see the mountains far behind. Very well captured.

A fantastic view, and a warm light which makes the 'sisters' more outstanding against the darker background. Very nice capture, Chris.

Wow, this looks like my kind of place to go to, Chris. The soft late afternoon light really makes the "girls" standout in an excellent way, and kudos to your composition with the sisters in the front left area, and the well-contrasting layers of green/blue mountain ranges gradually vanishing into the background. Just a splendid landscape, well done.

Gorgeous light on the siblings ;-). Katoomba is probably *the* place around Sydney that I regret the most not having had the time to visit while there.. Did you get any captures where the trees are actually looking blue?

Wow, what a view. Sunset should be amazing in this place, but still the light is excellent here and give the systers a nice tan. I am not a fan of these kind of frame, nbut it works well here. Well done, Chris.

Il y a en Corse des montagnes qui s'appellent "les 5 moines" avec ce même principes de sommet.
Pour la photo superbe car très bonne vue , avec beaucoup de détail intérressant.
Bravo Chris !

Breathtaking scenery and great photo that shows all its beauty. Fires prevented me from visiting this place when I was in Australia and I have mixed feelings toward your photo - I'm glad you showed me one extraordinary place but I'm also sad that I didn't see it myself! You captured wonderfully the blue haze of the Blue Mountains as well on this picture. Great, really great shot.
