Photographer’s Note
Danish ferries (#2) - If you want to visit the Danish island Aeroe, there’s 4 ferry-lines to choose among – this one heading home to Marstal – from another island called Langeland (Long island)
I was standing on a floating dock while taking the photo – and don’t worry – the ferry berth, right where the ferry at. But it was scheduled for a “service check” the week after – so you may try to image the big boat on the blocks at the right (I didn’t get the photo)
Too bad – I would have liked the ferry a bit sharper.
Second note: The sharp eyes of Line (Burnham) have spotted Long island in the background - thanks for taking notice :-)
Heres the photo I would have liked to post instead.

Interesting shot, I like your whole ferry theme, and this one is very well composed, I don't mind the ferry being blurry and the rusty bit in focus (Yitzhak will probably like the rust too :o)).
Anyway good shot from what looks like a foggy day. (You can only just see a bit of land in the horizon, which would probably have been very visable on a clear day)

Ah ah, Jeppe you do great little things of the life great. Great composition. Next summer I am coming back to Sicily and I will take a lot of photos of the ferry-boats which collegue Messina with Calabrian Region to show you the incredible traffic in one of most dangerous (for navigation) strait of the world

What a capture! I love all the details and rust on this well used floating doc. The deep compo is really excellent: the dock wall on the left and the ferry further a way on the right, ready to receive it. The not so sharp ferry doesn't disturb, the receiving dock IMHO being the primary point of interest.
Great shot, Jeppe!

This is not only a great maritime scene, but also a schoolbook example of how to build perspective in a photo. Very good positioning of the rusty foreground elements, then the pier with the car and people in the middle left, then the ferry behind that (oh, and let's not forget the hazy island way back). Very good capture, Jeppe, in great colors and clarity.

J'aime beaucoup le contraste entre la rouille de l'avant plant et le bleu de la mer et du bateau à l'arrière plan. Les personnages complètent à merveille cette scène. Très belle composition donc. Très bien vu !

Aaa, yes, suppose Yitzhak was very happy to see such a huge ammount of rust in one shot, Jeppe! :-D
Actually I agree with Risto that there is a bit of a humourous hint in your composition: the ferry coming or going away, and the car with the people with their backs to it..;-)
Wonderful colour combination of white/blue and rusty brown. Very well seen and captured!

Bonne presentation et trés bonne idée d'avoir inclu dans l'image les blocs de rouille sur le premier plan cela permet de mieux apprecier la distance et la profondeur de champ.
Un leger flou sur la partie droite du bateau mais pas bien grave.
Bravo Jeppe bon coup d'oeil.

Amazing POV Jeppe. Here's the power of long focal length cleverly used. Rusty warm tones metal opposed to cold soft sea and sky. Plus, the ferrie which is the main subject obviously. I like it. Very well composed indeed. Good job.

Great, Jeppe. This ship is coming right towards you. Ansd there is a large amount of rust, the sea-tyoe rust, which is the best. A very rich and interesting composition.

Excellent composition, I like the rust in the front, give a great contrast to the ship.
Beautiful light and color, the contrast is perfect. I do hope the ferry turn of, before it hit the photographer:-))))

One monster of a ship you caught here, Jeppe. A nice PJ shot, and the rust is a bonus too. The men add the very important scale factor

Ahh Jeppe, the smell of the sea, a floating dock, some nice dock blocks and a ship, what more could a person want in a photo. Ships and floating docks are my workplace. I love the composition, it's almost as if the dock was going to sink down, and the ship climb aboard.
Nice one, i think i will start to post some ship pics.

Hi Jeppe
Great photograph! And to be honest I prefer this version. It shows small part of harbour (old building) and people, which shows how huge the ferry is.
Happy New Year
Matt
