My first Mongolian Restaurant Photo

Photographer’s Note

Following up my My first Mongolian Hotel post here is a photo of My first Mongolian Restaurant. It was the first place we have stopped for lunch on our trip. You can notice the board sign on above the entrance in the very right corner. I wanted to take a photo from the front to show you hand painted coca cola sign, but then those beautiful clouds would not come up right. Mongolia is amazing country of vast steps and nothing around. I really recommend trip to this country to anyone who wants to experience enormous amount of space or simply big nothing :-) I definitely will go back one day.

except that the door's frame seems funny there

in that place this restaurant seems very exclusive. It's no joke 'cause I think that a few building can have this corner of world like there.

Interesting shot! Looks wonderful those clouds! The colour of the sky, the wideness of it all. Would this be the country which you liked the most to go to?
Would it be thé place where you were so overwhelmed that you couldn't take a picture for some time, just taking it all in? I'm asking it, because I posted a forum threat to send me your world's best landscape photography location. Have a look here:

Those clouds are really flying in to the image, blue contrast is great with the colours of the earth. A strong and dynamic composed photo...really good.

Wonderful shot Lucie! The landscape there is amazing, so vast and wide open, and because there are no trees you can see forever. Gerat cloud pattern that provides a good counterpoint to the yurt. Beautiful!

I'm reading a travel story from Sylvain Tesson, a french man who walk from Iakoutsk in Siberia to Calcutta and so cross Mongolia and Himalaya...your picture makes sensse to this book...

Great photo, once again, from this same spot. Love those clouds. They really look like a claw, probably kidnapping you, the desert lover. ;) Colors are awesome and so is the light over the tent. Like it a lot.

So great colours, so immense sky. Your compsotion is perfect with the "restaurant" on the right hand side where the clouds seem to originate as well. I love the touch of red brought by this window (?) on the tent. A very good one.

I love the strong, pure light and the well saturated colours. It's well composed with the "restaurant" well placed to the right with the clouds seeming to converge above the roof.

You've captured the wide-open feel of Mongolia really well here, Lucie, by featuring those clouds opening out like a fan, or, one could say, like fingers pointing out all parts of the huge space.
