Photographer’s Note

This is my second post of a picture taken from an airplane. Again, I posted the location as India as that is where I was flying to from Canada (with a transfer in Zurich).

This was one of those days that you can only dream about when flying, perfectly sunny, a few smattered clouds not obstructing any view. Out of the many photos I've taken from a plane, this one and my other post over Saudi Arabia are the ones I've liked enough to post (though, I may start looking through my photos).

The Swiss Alps are absolutely extraodinary, with mountains as far as the eye could see (which is impressive when you remember you're thousands of feet in the air).

most shots from planes are not too good. this one is very nice however nice view good clouds good focus

Very nice, David. It's a great aerial view of the mountains. I like the clouds scudding over, the sense of depth and dimension, the complementary white of the frame, and that you achieved a very respectable level of clarity and sharpness while shooting from an airplane window -- that in itself is no small feat.

Damn, nice plane photo. Really sharp with great color. It really is a good photo in that the clouds add alot of "interest" and provide a sense of depth to the photo and the white caps combined with the green really makes an interesting pattern.

Simply beautiful this picture. I always like photos “from above”. And I also have some similar pictures taken in Chile on a flight from Santiago to Balmaceda, in the Chilean Patagónia. Looks like you had the window open!!! Well done.

I think that your picture is very well composed, perfect clarity and colors. It is amazing because most of the pictures taken by a place are not very clear. You did a lovely photo over the beautiful Swiss Alps. I have a similar picture made by a place but over the French Alps. You can take a look :)
