Photographer’s Note

I took this photo in the Kościeliska Valley which you could see on one of my previous photos.
The Kościeliska Valley (Dolina Kościeliska)is the loveliest and most interesting valley in the Western Tatras. It stretches for about 8 km, right up to the main ridge of the Tatras. Near the exit the valley is narrow, but farther up it fans out into several lateral branches, above which rise the rounded summits of the Western Tatras, the highest of which is Mt Bystra (2248 m), on the Slovakian side of the frontier. The Dolina Kościeliska owes its exceptional charm not only to its beauty spots, but also to its numerous forms characteristic of limestone country: caves, wells, and fantastically shaped rocks and crags. The whole valley is pervaded with the aura of old legends about hidden treasure. There are also ancient mining traditions going as far back as the 15th century. The valley is reached by road from Zakopane - 7 km. There is a regular PKS bus service, a car park for cars, and about 1 km farther on, at Rogoźniczańska Polana, a camping-site. Motor vehicles are not allowed into the valley.

Hi Agniezka!
Good shot with the horsecart as foreground for this nice landscape.Good light at the hill and the forest with nice green tones.I like the relaxed pose of the driver and his horse in the shade.The composition would have been perfect with the trees in the center not cut at the top,but I think this is not your fault ,maybe too less wideangle function.Anyway it`s a nice shot with a relaxed summer atmosphere.

It all looks very idyllic and from a time gone by. The light is good and the vivid colours beautiful. I don't know if there was something disturbing out of sight on the right, but I would have preferred it if you could have framed it so the horse had more space in front of him. Nevertheless it's a fine image.

I like this photo very much. It has a serene and timeless atmosphere. The horsebuggy driver has positioned himself and his horse in the shade, and the background shows the evergreen trees as far as the eye can see. Simple but elegant composition, exquisite handling of light and shade, and superior depth of field.

This is a beautiful view! Wow! I love country side shots and this is absolutely nice! The inclusion of that man ie really an important detail, adding life to the scenery. The lights are nice and the sky is perfect!

Dobrza fotka, a scene that you could have shot many years ago as it seems without any possible time stamp, ideally the carriage should be on the left but I understand both horse and driver wanter to rest in the shade ;-) Beautiful very well contrasted and vivid colors.

Wow, is it possible to sleep there, Agnieszka. Looks like a really really lovely place - so peaceful and calm....I can imagine to stay there with a good book...and some good walking shoes :O) Nice pov which gives us a wide view of the horse, the house and the beautiful landscape.
