Photographer’s Note

The Himba people live in the Kaokoland- Kunene region, in north western Namibia.
Near the Kunene river and Epupa waterfalls in a little vilage, I filmed that beautiful girl, all covered with red Ocra.

Very, very good. She looks like she is dusted in cocoa! She looks strking against the blue sky, and I like the contrast of her skin with the belt. Her breasts, shoulder string and necklace produce an interesting symmetry. As for her expression, that's what makes this photo great.

A very special portrait of this woman completely in one color. The interesting and at the same time strange thing about her is that she is all in one color. A real body has different colors and that's what gives me a strange feeling with this shot.
It is well shot, with great sharpness. The strong contrast of the shadows add to make the shot more intrigueing.

People come in all shapes and colors...
And you captured a rare combination - at least for an european!
I like the angle but I would have reduced the brightness slightly...

I rarely like photos of people, and never nude photos. This one is so awesome - her skin color is so uniform (I think this is why I like it so much) and she's beautiful with all the accessories. Very unique photo!
