Photographer’s Note
This is La Fontaine des Fleuves la In Place de la Concorde. The fountain celebrates river navigation and its sculptures represent the Rhine and the Rhône and harvests of grapes and corn. Another and similar fountain in Place de la Concorde, La Fontaine des Mers (the Fountain of the Seas) celebrates sea transport and has sculptures that represent the Mediterranean, the Ocean and fishing of pearls, shellfish, fish and corals.
Usually you take the best night shot during the blue hour. This photo is taken under an umbrella and heavy rain and in my view its better than a similar blue hour picture I took the next morning and that could be seen in WS.

Hello Ulf,
You are completely right! This photo has a very good light and probably the rain gives this nice reflections on the statue. I like the harmony of tones with brown background beter than a blue one. Excellent exposure and POV. Best regards,
Catherine

Hi Ulf!
I am glad to be able to comment that photo, which I had admired before on TE, but the owner just posts photos without ever exchanging critiques. I cannot see the point of that and it certainly isn't in the spirit of TE.
Anyway, I totally agree with you: the night capture is a lot better. The luxury of the colours and the art of the sculpture are just magnificent.
Thanks for sharing!
All the best!
Marie Louise.

Hi Ulf!
Today we have many details at TE and I just love them!
I have commented on two pictures (one of Paris and another one of Barcelona) and I'll do the same with yours: Paris is one of the cities in the world where one can live an entire life and still not be able to see and enjoy all the beautiful details it can offer! Therefore, very important to have those details shown here at TE!
In addition, it's an excellent nocturnal picture, with superb sharpness, light management, shutter speed and all that jazz!
TFS - Congratulations!
Have a nice Sunday!

Hello Ulfe,
this is a great shot. The colours and detail are perfect, almost invisible curtain of water gives a fantastic and fragile feeling.
Great work.
Best regards

This is a pleasant composition, with a nice symmetrical effect!
Excellent colours and details, and the fountain stands out really well in the frame...
Well exposed, and available light is well used!

Hi Ulf, I love the strong green that is portrayed here & the water coming over the edge of the fountain looks just amazing, superb light & too take a shot in the rain & under an umbrella, the final out come is excellent, the crop may be a little tight, however still a great photo, kind regards Wilson.

WOOOOOW!, What a perfect control of exposure you did here Ulf, it's stunning, the whole definition of the sculptures in that fountain. Great sharpening.
Best regards, my friend
