Lake Pykara : This shot waa taken at Lake Pykara in the Nilgiri Hills of Ooty in Tamil Nadu in November,2009.

Lake Pykara is a placid lake located between the lush green valleys of Ooty.It is surrounded by dense forests and is situated at about 19 km from Ooty on the path going from Ooty to Bangalore and are situated close to mudumalai. The lake is a wonderful example of nature's beauty on the hills. One would definitely love boating in the green waters of the wonderful lake and the Pykara falls close to the lake is a fantastic place where one can enjoy photography and a few quiet moments to sit by the fall and hear nature's heartbeat in the sound of the falling water of the falls.

I tried to recrop to get rid of the rusty metal thing in the fg. I was not very successful without eliminating part of the boat, which I liked. So I compromised by minimizing its size. I also experimented with lightening the shadows, but the result is not necessarily an improvement, just a different rendering. I also color corrected to make the clouds look grey. I would be interested to read what you think.
