Before and After.

In the After I ran Auto Levels, then boosted saturation a bit more. Maybe more than you like, but should give you some ideas of possibilities.

Then I worked on the silhouette, zoomed in really close, set the Sharpening Tool to three pixels and ran it back and forth along the edges until the edges became sharp. I went back with the Blur Tool and removed any 'halos'.
